New members wanted for the NCDA International Student Services Committee

We are currently receiving new members into the NCDA International Student Services Committee (ISSC) for the 2020/2021 academic year. If you are passionate about increasing the understanding of career development experiences and the needs of international students, please consider joining us. The sign-up form will be available until September 18. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Un Yeong Park at park351@illinois.edu and Arame Mbodj at arame@stanford.edu.   

  1. Eligibility: 

    1. You must be an NCDA member who belongs to one of the NCDA membership criteria

    2. You must be a career development professional in either the higher education or private sector who is working with international students in the U.S.

  2. Member Responsibilities: 

    1. This committee is a working committee where every member is an active participant, therefore you must participate in at least one sub-team and support their project(s).

    2. You are encouraged to attend all General Meetings (all General Meetings will happen on the 2nd Thursday in October, December, February, April, June and August).

    3. You are also encouraged to consistently participate in your sub-team meetings which will be designated by your sub-team co-leads.

  3. Benefits:

    1. Opportunities to participate in exciting projects on the research, resources and social media teams which help career development professionals better navigate their work with international students.  

    2. Opportunities to create and edit content in regards to supporting international students.  

    3. Opportunities to participate at the NCDA conferences as speakers. 

    4. Opportunities to attend committee events and professional development programs including the ISSC Mini-Conference.  

    5. Opportunities to network with career development professionals serving international students and employers.
