What is a good entry level position for a career in Higher Ed Counseling / Career Counseling?

I am currently finishing my undergrad and will be applying to Grad School for a M.S. in Counseling, Option College Counseling and Student Services for Summer 2019. I currently work full-time as a Sales/ Retention rep at a health insurance plan under the state health program (medicaid) sector. I know that upon completion of the program, I will have field work or internships available, but what is a good entry level position to be lined up for a career in Higher Ed Counseling/ Career Counseling? I know outside of Community Colleges and Universities there are private companies like The Princeton Review or possibly working under a licensed career coach or specialist. Would those be good starting points to get some experience? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for reading,

You could always do some volunteering at the local job / career/unemployment office.
