Criteria for Train-the-Trainer

NCDA offers this Train-the-Trainer Session for Career Assessment Instruments: What Counselors Need to Know to a select group of qualified Trainers who may be interested in conducting this PDI in their own state/local area.  This Session will highlight ways in which the PDI can be delivered, NCDA's assistance in marketing, and a copy of the Power Points and other training materials will be provided.  A limit of 20 trainers will be selected through an appliction process.  To attend this session; interested members must first register and attend PDI #5 and meet the following criteria:

Criteria for Train-the-Trainer

  1. Member of NCDA
  2. Register and attend the PDI #5 on Tuesday, June 30th
  3. Master's Degree in Counseling with specialized coursework in Career Assessments with 3 years' post-master experience OR Master's in related field with specialized training in Career Assessments with 5 years' post-masters experience (consideration will be given for those at the bachelor's level with 7+ years career development experience)
  4. Past experience in administering and analyzing career resource instruments
  5. Knowledge of A Counselors Guide to Career Resource Instruments, Fifth Edition
  6. Previous training experience
  7. Include a statement of how you will use this training to deliver a program to train others (i.e. intended audience; organizations at the state/local level in which you are involved).

Send letter of interest, along with outline of qualifications of the above criteria to mpowell@ncda.org by May 15, 2009. The Train-the-Trainer will have limited enrollment of 20 and notifications will be made by June 15th.  There is no cost for the Train-the-Trainer Session.
