The application process for the 3rd annual National Career Development Association Counselor Educator Academy is now OPEN! The application process will close February 26^th and selected members will hear by mid-March regarding their acceptance and information about the travel stipend to assist with travel costs. The Academy is to be held in Orlando from Tuesday, June 27^th to noon on Wednesday, June 28^th 2017, prior to the 2017 NCDA Global Career Development Conference in Orlando. The deadline for the early bird registration for the NCDA Conference is February 1st. If you plan to attend be sure to register before prices go up!

This academy is for select counselor educators who teach or will be teaching Career Counseling within their UNIVERSITY COUNSELOR PREPARATION DEPARTMENT. The inaugural group (2015) was charged with determining how NCDA can better serve counselor educators in future Counselor Education Academy offerings. The 2017 academy will build off of the outstanding progress of the 2016 Academy and focus on the growth and development of the intersection of counselor education and career counseling. The purpose of this Counselor Educator Academy is to support your work teaching our future counselors about their role in career counseling and to provide tools you can use in your work, including career information, resources, and practices. The Academy will take place Tuesday, June 27 (8am-5pm) –Wednesday, June 28th (8am-noon) 2017preceding the NCDA Conference in Orlando.

The deadline to submit is Sunday, February 26th. We will notify those chosen within two weeks after the deadline. If selected for the 2017 Academy, FULL participation is expected and activities outside of the convention will be available to members for research and development opportunities. Selected members will receive a stipend to supplement travel/lodging expenses to the NCDA conference.
