Congratulations to our 2015 Career Development Research Award Winners!

ELLETSVILLE, IN, November 18, 2015 -- The Alliance of Career Resource Professionals stretched its wings this month to reach its organizational vision: “Excellent career resources for all!” ACRP implemented two new strategies toward that vision: ACRP initiated and granted two research awards as well as a new reduced fee schedule for new members.

James Sampson and Debra Osborn, Florida State University, received ACRP’s professional research award ($10,000) to study strategies that promote career information literacy. Eric Garcia, University of Oregon doctoral student, received ACRP’s student research award ($5,000) to study the effectiveness of the Oregon Career Information System (CIS) in increasing high students’ career self-efficacy, career interests, and postsecondary plans.

In addition, ACRP will provide a 25% new member discount to new national and international career information developers and distributors [$1125] and a [$300] discount to new state and regional career information developers and distributors the first year of membership. This special membership rate returns to standard dues in second year.

ACRP promotes the world-wide development, delivery, and use of high-quality career information and career resources among career professionals and consumers.
