NCDA Election Results

Congratulations to Paul Timmins from the University of Minnesota, who was elected as NCDA’s 98th National President. Paul will serve as President in FY 17-18 and subsequently prepare for the next two fiscal years as President-Elect-Elect and President-Elect. Also elected are Kathy Evans as Trustee for Counselor Education and Researchers and Wendy LaBenne, Trustee for State Divisions. Both Kathy and Wendy will assume their responsibilities October 1, NCDA’s new fiscal year.

On August 26, 2015, the NCDA Board elected an interim Trustee.

In a unanimous vote, the Board accepted Brian Montalvo as the Interim Trustee for Higher Education Career Counselors and Specialists (2015-17), to fulfill this 2-year vacancy. This Trustee position was vacated by Paul Timmins since he was elected President Elect-Elect which will start October 1, 2015.

Brian Montalvo, Ed.S., MCC, NCC is the director of Career Advising, Counseling & Education at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.  He is a graduate of the NCDA Leadership Academy, Class of 2012-13.
